Daddy's new toy

Gary bought over the weekend a new riding lawn mower. He took Isabella for a short spin in the yard. She really enjoyed and keeps on asking for it. Note that he only took her for a short ride. We have not become country rednecks and are cautious of our daughter's safety. :-)

More nozzles

Isabella's favorite toys are definitely nozzles. She found this week another one which we used to water the vegetable garden. Here are more nozzle pictures.

Tante Sherri visits

Last weekend Tante Sherri visited us for a few days. We all very happy and enjoyed her company. Especially Isabella's first words were every morning "Tante Sherri?" and she was looking for the "Lizzy Bag"(a bag with a monkey attached who's name is Lizzy).

We all had a great time miss you very much, Tante Sherri!

Yellow Nozzle

Isabella's favorite new toy is a garden nozzle. She calls it specifically "yellow nozzle". Every time we go outside in the garden she hunts for the yellow nozzle and hardly let's go of it. Here are some Yellow Nozzle pictures.

Isabella is sleeping in her big girl's bed!

Since last week Isabella has been sleeping in her new big bed every night. She has been talking a little bit before falling asleep and also has been getting up once or twice, but she made it on her own back to her bed.

A few nights ago
she actually pulled her Elmo truck into bed and fell asleep with it. At about 5 am she knocked out the truck half way out of the bed and woke up. But she was able to fall asleep again on her on. We were tempted to walk in her room to take pictures of her sleeping with the truck, but we did not want to interrupt her. So we only have the memory of seeing her on the baby monitor.

More pictures from Isabella's new room

Gary has painted Isabella's furniture and hung pictures. Additionally we put up a border and a ceiling fan. The paint still smells so we will wait a little until we transition Isabella to the new room.

Enjoy the pictures.

First peak at Isabella's new room

We started last weekend working on Isabella's new room. There is still a lot of work to be done like painting furniture, putting a ceiling border on and putting art work on the wall. But here is a first peak. Isabella likes a lot hanging out in the new room and sitting on the bed.

New pictures

I know it's been a long time since I have posted, but forgive me I am pregnant 8-1/2 months, I am working part-time and I am taking care of a 22 months old toddler staying with me home. And I really need some sleep!!!!! Enough about me. Isabella has been developing great and has a ton of energy. She talks a lot and can say colors in combination with nouns. She knows shapes and can count to 3 in English and German.

But now some pictures with some brief descriptions:

My favorite picture right now

Isabella and her lawnmower

Isabella in the snow. It only snowed on one day and of course it was a Thursday and I had to go to the office. :-(

Merry Christmas

Today was Isabella's second time experiencing Christmas. This year was a lot more fun than last year. Isabella is so much more aware of things this time. She needed some encouragement to rip open the gifts but enjoyed them a lot once she found out what they are.

This year we wanted to do the right thing and not buy any toys made in China, which is surprisingly possible. See how Isabella enjoyed her gifts.

Another favorite is the new tricycle.

After all this excitement a little dancing with Daddy in the kitchen ...
