Isabella's first swimming lesson

Today Isabella had her first swim lesson. I signed her up for the Preschool Aquatics Level 1 class. 8 lessons, twice a week. Luckily Isabella's friend Charis signed up for the same class and they could go together. All other kids (3 other ones) seemed to be older, so it's nice that Charis is there too, since she is the same age. Today the regular instructor wasn't there and a sub had to fill in. A little unorganized but ok and I think Isabella had fun! here are some pictures and a short movie.

Another beautiful day outside

Today was another beautiful day and we enjoyed it with some playing outside. Isabella loves Daddy's lawn mower and hops on it very often. Isabella sitting in the garden and eating some ice cream. See how big our tomatoes and beans already are.

Trip to the beach

Last weekend we made a short weekend trip to Sandbridge, Virginia. We wnt with a friends and their children and rented a house directly on the beach. Isabella had a lot of fun having a friend the whole time to play with. She was a little scared of the waves. The atlantic is a little rougher than the gulf. Here are some pictures.

Isabella's Garden

It looked like there was a birthday theme for Isabella's birthday. Most of her gifts were outdoor garden gifts, which is perfect for her new little garden. Today we made a trip with Grandma and Zoe to Lowe's and planted lots of flowers in her new garden. Grandpa and Grandma made a very nice sign for her garden. Of course we overbought plants and had to take some of the plants for our garden. Isabella was very helpful in preparing the beds and planting.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ISABELLA

This year we had a birthday party for Isabella's 3rd birthday. We made it a Gruffalo themed party and invited her friends. Isabella was all excited and crashed on the sofa about 15 mintues before the start of her party. Once her friends arrived she was all awake and ready to play. My friend Lucy prepared a little egg hunt outside and while the kids were looking for eggs they enjoyed playing on the new playground. After that the kids came inside for some cake and ice cream. I think Isabella had a lot of fun with her first birthday party. You grow up so fast my big girl!

A new year

A new year has started which was not easy, since Isabella and I got the flu shortly after Zoe caught it.  Here are some pictures from January. Taking down the christmas tree, some pics from outside and pictures from the girls playing together. Noticed how Zoe is after Isabella?
