Here is my new favorite picture. I took this right after she woke up from her nap.

Daddy's new toy

I was lectured recently that the riding lawn mower is not a "toy". It is a tool. Ok, this time Gary got himself a toy and Isabella enjoyed it, too. Of course, Gary got the motivation because Isabella enjoyed playing with the old remote control car but the old one was not working anymore. Therefore he had to buy a new one :-)

Isabella and her Robot

Isabella got from us for her birthday a Lego Duplo starter kit. She loves playing with it and started after a couple of days building towers. Gary built one day a robot out of the Lego blocks and called it eeh-awh, eeh-awh (or however you should spell it). But since then she wants us to rebuilt it all the time after he got broken. The last few days she started doing stuff with him. Like putting him on her piano, burping him, giving him the bottle, cleaning his nose and changing his diaper. I know that I am getting comments now that I should get her a baby doll so that she can do the same stuff we do to Zoe. But we think it is a better way to use her Lego Robot. It shows how creative she is and that she needs to be gentle and careful. And yes, if she should ever ask for a doll we are not going to say no. We are just not putting her in the female gender box. :-)

Isabella & Dr. Seuss

Isabella loves Dr. Seuss. Whether it is books, the stuffed animals and her new Whoville T-shirt. Latter ones are gifts from Tante Sherri. Thank you, Tante Sherri! As you can see she enjoys them.

Playing with Daddy

Yesterday Gary found a reason to dig out his remote control car to play with Isabella. She had a great time chasing and being chased by the remote control car. Isabella and Daddy had a lot of fun!

I am a big sister now!

Isabella has been excited having a new sister at home. She likes her new baby sister Zoe but it is some times difficult for her to control her feelings, which is normal for a toddler. Today she was really cute and wanted to lay on the floor with Zoe and give her eskimo kisses.

On April 11, 2008 we celebrated Isabella's 2nd birthday. On the same day I came home from the hospital to bring home Zoe. We had cake and presents and welcomed Zoe to our home. See the pictures.
